Selden Standard

Amazing food. The pastry chef is remarkable. We always get both pastries when we go. Drinks are great. Patio is lovely in the summer. One of my favorite restaurants in town.

I don't know what I expected - but it was not what I found. We recently went to a restaurant that gets great reviews - and the only part of the meal we enjoyed was the wine. I walked into Selden Standard cautious - but our experience was WOW! We had the beet and mushroom dishes as appetizers - and shrimp and ribeye as main courses - with small scoops of gelato and ice cream for dessert. The flavors are a gift to your taste buds - honest! They are delicious and smooth. The price makes it nice - but not ouch when you see the bill. We will definitely be going back!

Very fresh food highlighting local and seasonal ingredients which are even more enjoyable when viewed from the chef's counter.Great choice for brunch, lunch, dinner, or even just a cocktail and small plates. Continues to stay strong over the years, much appreciated institution in Midtown.
